We Are Back & Snot!

We are back, and I missed Fletcher SO much! Little dude caught a nasty cold and he gave grandma a good scare or two. It sounds like it is just in his nose, and not his chest and he also isn't running a fever so I think it shouldn't linger around long. We are going to lay low today, give lots of cuddles and watch some football. Hopefully by tomorrow he is feeling better! I will give an update about our weekend once I am not squeezing out snot from the little man!

I will leave you of this video of Matt singing to Fletcher about getting a burp out. Such a typical Father/Son relationship in this family. So cute!

Wedding Weekend & Nerves.

So the time has come that I am going to have to leave my baby boy overnight. I am beyond nervous, like stomach-turning, shaking, over thinking every single thing, nervous. I know he is in good hands, I mean 'comon look at me I turned out just fine (shut it...), but still, I am nervous. My Mom is going to be watching the little man and my friend Cyndi is going to come help out since my mom isn't supposed to life much and my man is a chunky little dude. I am going to try and relax, to enjoy myself at the wedding we are attending but I know there will be plenty of calls to see how he is doing. As my luck has it he will go to bed at 8 pm and sleep through the night. Stinker!

For now I will take deep breath and know that I have one more night to wake up to my favorite whimper at 3 am.  I think tonight I will fully take in his deep breaths, snorts, his sweet smell, and try to catch as many glimpses of his relaxed body as he drifts off to dreamland. I love you Fletch, and I know it will only be one night, but it will be one night of missing you like crazy.

Wordless Wednesday (part two...)

Maybe not so wordless. I snapped this picture of Fletcher when I was out to lunch with my mom today. Oh. My. Word. He is so fricken cute! I had to share!

Wordless Wednesday. Happiness.

Children

I always thought I would wait until I was thirty to have a kid. Now having one at 26, I have been bitten by the kid bug. I also always thought that I would have three kids AT MOST. Now? Uh, I would like at least five. I don't think I can put a limit on how many kids we will have. Money might do that someday, but I sure as heck won't right now. I love the love a child gives, the way they learn, even the fussy nights. Being a mom is the best thing that has EVER happened to me (aside from meeting my loving husband) and I want more, and I want more soon. Fletcher is going to be the best big brother someday, I just know it! I mean, if you had kids as cute as Fletcher how could you NOT want more?

Pumpkin Patch

Yesterday we went to Tuttle's Orchard to their pumpkin patch. It was a beautiful fall day, in the low 70's with a slight breeze and tons of sun. Fletcher was dressed up in a little pumpkin shirt and looked adorable! There were a ton of pumpkins to pick from and once you found the pumpkin you wanted you slid it through a hole to determine the price. It was pretty funny to watch people try to stuff some of the larger pumpkins through the smaller holes so they didn't have to pay as much! Cheap asses. ;) Besides Fletcher in his adorable pumpkin shirt, Matt took the cake for being the cutest. Matt being a tall guy that he is looked so cute with the little red wagon we were given to gather the pumpkins!
Cute, eh?

After we found our pumpkins we headed over to the store (with had a clusterfuck of people there!) to find some goodies to take home. My mom and I each left with a caramel apple with nuts and Matt wanted a chocolate covered pretzel rod (Ha, he would!) because he isn't a fan of caramel apples. He is lucky I married him, because that is just a crime. All in all it was a great day with family, the sun and my littlest pumpkin!
